29/03/09 - Edale Skyline

One of the classic long fell races - and some superb performances this year. Not the same fun without the arctic conditions of two years ago though!!

Mark O finished an impressive 16th overall. There are lots of brilliant photos on the dark peak website (including this one of Julien!)

22/03/09 - Lads Leap

Great runs by a fair few Glossopdalers at the weekend at Lads Leap. Always a good early season race above Tintwhistle and almost 3 of the club in the top 10 this year. Full glossopdale results are here

There's a nice few pictures taken by Geoff Briggs here with lots of the club!

Great descending by Carl! (Photo taken by Geoff B)

Should add, we had

First female V40

3rd female overall

2 top 10 places, and 4 in the top 15

1st male v45 (and 1st V40)

2nd male V60

And best of all we won the team prize!

14/03/09 - SE Lancs XC Award

Seems the more experienced members of the club are leading the way at the moment!

Congratulations to Neil on winning the V60 trophy for the 2008-9 season of the SE Lancs Cross Country league. Couple of pics below from Bill of Neil receiving the trophy from Joe Ashcroft, the League Referee, at Horwich RMI presentation "do".

8/03/09 - High Peak Marathon

Congratulations to Julien and Mark. As Half of the High Peak Rollarbladers (with John D from Pennine and a new team member, Ian Ridgeway from Eryri) they had a cracking run, taking over a full hour off last year’s time.

They came second to Mark Hartell’s Team Vasque (north) but easily beat Vasque south who pushed them into 3rd last year. Julien said all ran consistently well during a night that was cold, wet, with thick mist and enough peat to keep even the most dedicated bogtrotter happy for years.

Roll on next year. Thanks John or the photo!
