Moel Eilio   Eight Miles  3000ft Climb   6th May 2000

Glossop born Sally Newman, who won the Three Peaks at the end of April, continues her good form by winning this North Wales race and in so doing takes the title of Inter-Counties Champion.   She clocked 77 minutes, 36 seconds for this eight mile race up one of the most beautiful mountains in Wales.

Dale Gartley was the best unplaced Glossopdale runner when he finished eleventh, just seven minutes quicker than Sally.

The men's race was won by Siggy Gould (Yorks) in a time of  63 minutes 33 seconds.

Andrew Norman of Altrincham finished 10th in 69 minutes 30 seconds
